Orbital is seeking AI Engineers to join its growing team in London and help build AI-powered products that make commercial real estate transactions smarter, faster, and more efficient.

Orbital's flagship product, Orbital Copilot, uses advanced AI to assist legal professionals with due diligence, document analysis, and transaction management. The company has recently raised $60 million in Series B funding and is expanding across the UK and United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered systems using state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs).
  • Build AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and advanced document understanding pipelines.
  • Collaborate with AI Engineers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and legal experts to develop innovative solutions.
  • Take ownership of AI features from concept through deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and system optimization.
  • Monitor and improve AI system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and maintaining production software systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and software engineering skills.
  • Interest in large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and generative AI technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of RAG systems and agentic architectures.
  • Frontend development experience.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, observability tools, APIs, and distributed systems.
