About The Role
Our client, a prominent organization within the Financial Sector, is seeking to expand their AI team by recruiting a skilled AI Engineer. This role offers a hybrid working environment, requiring two days in the Central London office and three days working remotely. As a vital member of a newly established AI team comprising 20 professionals, the successful candidate will play a key role in pioneering innovative projects and developing products that leverage data to facilitate smarter, more effective decision-making processes. The position provides an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI solutions in a dynamic financial environment, contributing directly to the company's digital transformation and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C#. Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is essential, including familiarity with services like Azure Data Factory, Data Studio, Synapse, Cosmos DB, and Azure Fabric. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in designing, testing, and deploying production-scale AI and machine learning solutions, especially those involving Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs). Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills are crucial, as the role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and technical colleagues. Knowledge of AI/ML deployment best practices and staying current with emerging AI trends will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions to solve complex business challenges within the financial sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to integrate AI technologies seamlessly into existing systems.
- Research and apply advanced machine learning algorithms and techniques to enhance business processes and outcomes.
- Analyse large datasets to extract actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making across various departments.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable AI models using industry best practices, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Monitor AI system performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, and implement improvements as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and related fields to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technological innovation.
