AI Engineering Tech Lead
Salary: £95,000 - £110,000
Location: London | Hybrid
Data Idols are working with a leading organisation that is investing significantly in its Data & AI capabilities. They are looking for an AI Engineering Tech Lead to lead a small engineering squad and help shape, build and scale AI solutions across the business.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining AI engineering, technical strategy and team leadership, with the opportunity to take emerging AI technologies and turn them into secure, scalable products that deliver real business value.

As an AI Engineering Tech Lead, you'll take ownership of the technical direction of a growing AI engineering capability, leading the design, development and deployment of Data, AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions.
Partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders, you'll identify high-value AI use cases, rapidly prototype new solutions and take successful ideas through to production. You'll also play an important role in shaping the AI technical roadmap and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, well-governed and aligned with responsible AI practices.
Skills and Experience

- Strong experience delivering Data, AI, Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Strong experience with Microsoft Foundry and the wider Azure ecosystem
- Experience leading and mentoring AI or engineering teams
- Experience designing and delivering scalable, production-ready AI solutions
- Strong stakeholder management
