AI Finance Transformation Lead
Location: London
About the Job
The Finance Transformation AI Lead will drive the modernization and digital transformation of finance functions through Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), Intelligent Automation, Data Analytics, and Digital Finance solutions. The role will partner with Finance, Technology, Operations, Data, Risk, and Business stakeholders to reimagine finance processes, improve operational efficiency, strengthen governance, and enable data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will lead large-scale finance transformation initiatives, identify AI-led opportunities, and establish scalable operating models that enhance finance performance, reporting, forecasting, and controls.
Hybrid Working
The places you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role
Finance Transformation Leadership
- Lead finance transformation initiatives across Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C/C2C), Treasury, FP&A, Financial Controllership, and Reporting functions.
- Define transformation roadmaps, business cases, and target operating models aligned to strategic finance objectives.
- Drive process standardization, optimization, and modernization across finance operations.
- Partner with CFO organizations to improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, and business insights.
AI & Generative AI Enablement
- Identify, assess, and prioritize AI and GenAI use cases across finance processes.
- Design and implement AI-powered solutions for financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, variance analysis, close management, and decision support.
- Leverage AI Agents and machine learning capabilities to automate finance workflows and improve user experiences.
- Collaborate with technology teams to deploy scalable AI-enabled finance platforms.
Intelligent Automation
- Design and implement intelligent automation solutions using AI, RPA, workflow orchestration, and low-code platforms.
- Eliminate manual effort through automation of repetitive finance activities.
- Establish automation frameworks, KPIs, and governance models to maximize business value realization.
- Ensure scalable and sustainable adoption of automation technologies across finance functions.

Data & Analytics Transformation
- Drive finance data modernization initiatives and establish trusted data foundations.
- Develop advanced analytics solutions, dashboards, and insights to support strategic finance decision-making.
- Enable self-service reporting and real-time financial intelligence using Power BI, Tableau, and analytics platforms.
- Improve data quality, lineage, and governance across financial datasets.
Your Skills
Essential
- Significant experience in Finance Transformation, Digital Finance, or Finance Consulting programs.
- Strong Finance and Accounting domain expertise across R2R, P2P, O2C, Treasury, FP&A, and Controllership functions.
- Experience identifying and implementing AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation solutions within finance organizations.
- Strong understanding of ERP platforms such as SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent systems.
- Experience delivering finance analytics, reporting, forecasting, and performance management solutions.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or similar analytics platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and business transformation skills.
- Experience developing business cases, ROI assessments, and value realization frameworks.
- Knowledge of AI governance, controls, compliance, and risk management practices.
Desirable
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or large multinational enterprises.
- Exposure to enterprise-wide finance modernization and operating model transformation programs.
- Experience working in global delivery or shared service environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI and data platforms.
