AI-First Content Creator (Video & Multimedia)

Freelance / Contract — with potential to become full-time
MarcoPolo Learning

About MarcoPolo Learning

MarcoPolo Learning is a leading provider of innovative content, technology, and instructional support for early childhood education. Since 2013, we’ve impacted thousands of classrooms and hundreds of thousands of families across North America. Our Emmy-nominated MarcoPolo World School app and The Polos TV series bring STEM and global discovery to life for young learners.

Backed by top-tier investors, we’re on a mission to transform early learning at scale — and we’re looking for an AI-first content creator to help us bring that mission to life across video, multimedia and digital content.

About the Role

We have more content to produce than a traditional creative pipeline can keep up with — tutorial and demo videos, explainers, social and event creative, educational and professional-development pieces. We’re looking for a hands-on creator to make it: someone who combines real creative production skill with fluent, practical use of AI to produce professional work far faster than the old way.

We’re specifically after a creator who already works differently because of AI. Faced with a 60-second tutorial, you don’t default to a long traditional production process — you think about the fastest strong route to finished, whether that’s AI scripting, AI voice, AI-generated or enhanced visuals, AI video and editing tools, screen recordings, animation, existing MarcoPolo footage, traditional editing, or (usually) a smart combination of them.

What You’ll Create

Working from rough briefs, product information and our existing brand assets, you’ll turn ideas into finished content across a few main areas:

  • Video and multimedia — product tutorials, how-to and demo videos, short-form and social video, educational and PD content, explainers, and motion or animated pieces. This is a big part of the role.
  • Visual and social creative — graphics and campaign visuals, event/conference creative, presentations and visual storytelling, product screenshots and demonstrations.
  • Repurposing and editing — turning existing content into new formats, and improving or re-cutting existing video and assets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The through-line is simple: take a content need and turn it into a high-quality finished asset.

How You’ll Work

  • AI-first production. AI is a primary tool in how you work, not an occasional shortcut. You take a creative objective and intelligently decide which mix of AI tools, traditional creative tools and your own judgement gets to a professional result fastest.
  • Make → show → learn → improve. You work from rough direction, get a first version in front of people quickly, and iterate on feedback — rather than spending days discussing how something could be produced.
  • Ownership and resourcefulness. You solve production problems independently and find the tools and assets you need to finish the piece.
  • Creative judgement over tool knowledge. You know weak AI output usually comes from weak inputs, so you feed the model the right context, references, brand guidelines and constraints — then push past the first result. And you can tell when something looks generic, obviously AI-generated, off-brand, inconsistent, inaccurate or simply not good enough, and you fix it.
  • Quality, always. Fast and AI-first never means sloppy. You care about brand consistency, visual quality, storytelling, pacing, clarity and polish. Our educational content especially has to be clear and accurate, so AI output gets reviewed and corrected — never blindly published.

What We’re Looking For

  • Real hands-on creative production experience — you make things, and you have the portfolio to prove it.
  • Strength in some combination of video editing, motion graphics, animation, graphic design, social/digital creative and multimedia production. You don’t need to be world-class in all of them; you do need a solid foundation and the range to own varied work.
  • Serious, practical experience using AI in creative production — you’re already building real content with it, not experimenting on the side.
  • Comfort with the standard creative tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Final Cut or equivalents) — though we care far more about what you can make than which software you list.
  • Speed, curiosity, and comfort learning new tools as they emerge.

We care about portfolio and demonstrated capability far more than degrees. EdTech, education, technology, SaaS or digital-product experience is a plus, not a requirement — a brilliant creator from another field should absolutely apply.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • A strong, relevant portfolio — especially video and multimedia.
  • Clear examples of AI-assisted creative production, where you can show how AI changed or improved your workflow.
  • Range: the ability to move between video, motion, visual and social content rather than living in a single format.
  • The judgement to make AI-assisted work look intentional and on-brand rather than generic.

Contract Opportunity

This begins as a freelance / contract engagement. We’re looking for someone who can become an ongoing creative partner to the team, not someone interested in a single isolated project. Based on quality of work, output, speed, ownership, collaboration, business needs and mutual fit, there’s real potential for it to grow into a full-time role. We’ll discuss term, hours, compensation and location directly with strong candidates.

How to Apply

Email jobs@marcopololearning.com with:

  • Your CV / resume.
  • A short cover letter.
  • Your portfolio or examples of your best relevant work.
  • One example of how you used AI to create a piece of content.

On point 4 — don’t just tell us which AI tools you use. Pick one piece of content and walk us through how you made it: what you were trying to create, the tools you used, how AI fit into the workflow, what you changed or created yourself, and the final result. If you can, include a link to the finished asset.

We review every application and reply to the creators we’d like to speak with.
