AI First Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI First Developer based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to redefine software development by leveraging artificial intelligence throughout the entire engineering lifecycle.
You will build production-ready features faster by integrating AI into planning, coding, testing, documentation, and delivery workflows.
The position focuses on maximizing engineering productivity, improving automation, and establishing new standards for AI-driven development.
You will work in a fast-paced environment where ownership, speed, and technical excellence are highly valued.
By combining strong engineering fundamentals with advanced AI tools, you will help shape the future of how software is designed and delivered.

Accountabilities
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready software features using AI-driven development approaches across the entire engineering lifecycle.
- Apply AI tools and workflows to accelerate requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, documentation, and release processes.
- Build and optimize AI-first engineering practices that improve development speed, quality, and team efficiency.
- Take ownership of feature delivery from concept to production, ensuring reliable execution and measurable outcomes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, engineering workflows, and product delivery processes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Leads, and engineering teams to accelerate time-to-market and deliver valuable solutions.
- Help establish and promote AI-first development standards by sharing knowledge, best practices, and innovative approaches.
- Mentor colleagues on effective AI adoption and demonstrate how AI can enhance software engineering productivity.
- Contribute to building scalable products while maintaining strong technical quality and operational excellence.

Requirements
- Proven experience delivering production-grade software products with a strong focus on ownership, execution, and quality.
- Strong technical foundation in modern software development practices and the ability to work across the full development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, GPT APIs, large language models, or similar technologies to improve engineering workflows.
- Experience applying AI to software design, code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, and release processes.
- Strong knowledge of technologies such as AWS,.NET, Python, and MongoDB.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong delivery mindset with a focus on shipping impactful solutions efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high levels of autonomy and responsibility.
- Passion for experimenting with new approaches and continuously improving engineering practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and support team growth.
