AI Governance Analyst (Contract)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)
Location: London/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)
Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates
Role Purpose
The AI Governance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the EMEA’s AI Governance function as the Bank scales its use of artificial intelligence across business lines. Demand for AI governance, risk assessment, and oversight continues to grow rapidly, while key governance components and operational processes are still being embedded. This role provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure AI initiatives are reviewed, documented, and governed in a timely, compliant and risk-aware manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the intake of AI use cases, ensuring submissions are complete, high-quality, and routed appropriately for review.
- Provide initial guidance to stakeholders with varying levels of AI literacy.
- Track use case progress, actions, and decisions through the governance lifecycle.
- Coordinate AI-related committee process, including meeting scheduling, preparing meeting packs, documenting decisions, and following up on actions.
- Support the implementation and refinement of AI Governance processes.
- Maintain and update governance artefacts such as frameworks, KRIs, and guidance documents.
- Support remediation efforts for existing AI systems.
- Assist in developing training materials to build organisational AI literacy.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders about governance requirements and expectations.
- Liaise with control functions to ensure consistent oversight.
- Contribute to the development of KRIs and monitoring structures.
- Support continuous improvement as relevant regulations and standards evolve.

Skills and Experience:
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand risk, governance, and compliance concepts.
- Comfortable working with evolving processes.
- Experience in AI, data, or technology governance.
- Familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments.
- Understanding of model governance or technology risk frameworks.
