AI Governance Officer

We are proud to be partnering with a University who are looking to appoint an AI Governance Officer on an initial 3-month temporary basis.

This will be a full-time position based predominantly from home, with attendance required in the West Midlands approximately once per month, and an hourly rate of circa £300 - £350 per day via an Umbrella company.

Duties

  • Assisting the Data Protection Officer and Data Privacy Lead with their caseload, providing practical data protection, privacy and AI governance advice to the business and supporting the responsible use of AI across the University
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions to key stakeholders on data protection, privacy and responsible AI principles, including emerging AI governance requirements and good practice
  • Undertaking Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and AI Impact Assessments, identifying and mitigating privacy, ethical, regulatory and other risks associated with the use of AI and emerging technologies
  • Supporting the assessment and governance of AI use cases, helping stakeholders understand applicable data protection and AI governance requirements and ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place
  • Dealing with data subject access requests, erasure requests and other data subject rights matters, including consideration of issues arising from the use of AI and automated processing

Experience Required

Working Hours

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
