AI Governance SME & Advisor
UK | Hybrid Working (London/Leeds) + travel to Client sites across the UK
About the Role
AI is transforming the way organisations work, but many are still figuring out how to manage the risks, responsibilities and opportunities that come with it.
We're looking for an AI Governance SME & Advisor to help one of our clients build the foundations for responsible AI adoption at enterprise scale. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how AI is governed across a large organisation, working directly with senior leaders to turn strategy into practical, real-world outcomes. The role is focused on advising clients on governance requirements and helping operationalise them within the business.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in shaping and embedding the client's AI governance approach by:
- Advising senior stakeholders on how to govern AI safely, responsibly and effectively.
- Designing practical AI governance frameworks, operating models and decision-making processes.
- Helping establish AI governance boards, ownership models and accountability structures.
- Creating governance processes for AI use cases, from initial assessment through to ongoing monitoring.
- Supporting the implementation of AI governance platforms, inventories and reporting capabilities.
- Translating AI regulations and standards into practical guidance that business teams can apply.
- Working with security, legal, privacy and technology specialists to ensure AI risks are managed appropriately.
- Helping organisations confidently adopt emerging technologies such as generative AI and AI agents.

What We're Looking For
You're someone who understands that successful AI governance is about enabling innovation, not creating bureaucracy.
You'll Likely Bring
- Experience designing or implementing AI governance, risk or responsible AI frameworks.
- An understanding of AI regulations and standards such as the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 or NIST AI RMF.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
- Experience working with senior business, risk, compliance, security or technology leaders.
- The ability to turn complex concepts into clear, practical actions.
- A collaborative, pragmatic approach with a passion for helping organisations navigate AI safely.
