St. James Research Centre (SJRC), established by Global Family Care Network in Scotland, equips leaders to conduct research and implement programs in community-based development, modern slavery prevention, rehabilitation for young survivors of human trafficking, and orphan care. Accredited by the British Accreditation Council, SJRC operates from St. James Church in Falkirk, a historic site within walking distance of local amenities. The centre is connected to a global network of professionals specializing in anti-trafficking prevention, rehabilitation programming, orphan care, and program evaluation. Global Family uses evidence-based approaches grounded in published, peer-reviewed research to prevent trafficking and abuse, strengthen families and communities, and train caregivers. Team members collaborate in a setting that values rigorous research, practical program design, and trauma-informed practice.
Role Description
The AI Implementations Strategist role is an on-site position based in Falkirk, focused on exploring and supporting the integration of AI tools into research, program design, and evaluation activities at SJRC. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Analyzing existing workflows to identify opportunities for AI-supported efficiency
- Assisting with data preparation and basic modeling tasks
- Supporting the selection or configuration of AI platforms aligned with ethical and safeguarding standards
- Collaborating with researchers and program staff to document requirements, test pilot solutions, and create clear guidance on responsible AI use in community-based development and anti-trafficking contexts

Qualifications
- Data Analysis and AI Concepts: Foundational skills in data analysis and AI concepts, such as familiarity with machine learning basics, data cleaning, and interpreting model outputs.
- Technical Problem-Solving and Tools Use: Skills in technical problem-solving and tools use, including working with spreadsheets, data visualization tools, or entry-level programming for prototypes.
- Research and Critical Thinking: Skills in research and critical thinking, such as literature review, synthesizing findings, and assessing ethical and practical implications of AI use.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Communication and collaboration skills, including clear written documentation, effective teamwork across disciplines, and the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Social Impact and Safeguarding: A strong interest in social impact and safeguarding, including sensitivity to issues of human trafficking, survivor-centered approaches, and responsible technology deployment.
- Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications may include current study or a degree in data science, computer science, social sciences, public policy, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience or Coursework: Experience or coursework in program evaluation, community-based development, or humanitarian work is beneficial, as is familiarity with privacy, security, and ethical guidelines for AI.
- On-site Work: Ability to work on-site in Falkirk, manage multiple tasks, and adapt.
