About Dura Pump Dura Pump provides reliable pump solutions for critical environments including hospitals, prisons, universities and data centres. We're growing rapidly and are looking for someone to help us scale smarter by implementing AI and automation across the business.
The Opportunity This is a hands-on role for someone who loves building practical solutions that make businesses faster and more efficient.
- You'll work directly with the Managing Director to implement Dura Pump's AI strategy, identifying opportunities to automate repetitive work, improve processes and ensure the business operates on a consistent, well-governed technology stack.
- This is not a strategy or research role. We need a builder who can turn ideas into working solutions that deliver measurable results.
- Your first focus will be our Estimating team, identifying where time is spent and implementing solutions that improve productivity before rolling successful approaches out across other departments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and deploy AI-powered workflows, automations and integrations that remove manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with teams across Estimating, Sales, Operations, Service, Accounts and Marketing to identify improvement opportunities.
- Prioritise projects based on business value, effort required and measurable impact.
- Leverage and optimise our existing platforms, including Simpro, Zoho, Microsoft 365 and Xero.
- Establish standards, governance and documentation for all AI and automation solutions.
- Audit existing AI and automation tools, reducing duplication and unnecessary spend.
- Track and report business benefits including time saved, costs reduced and capacity created.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
