AI Infrastructure Engineer - London / Bracknell / Birmingham / Leeds / Manchester / Livingston - Hybrid - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced AI Infrastructure Engineer to support high-profile transformation and technology initiatives across a complex enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an AI Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic client programme, driving the design, deployment and optimisation of cutting-edge AI infrastructure solutions. The successful AI Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in enabling scalable AI capabilities while ensuring security, resilience and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities as the AI Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Design, implement and support scalable AI infrastructure platforms across enterprise environments.
  • Build and optimise infrastructure to support AI, machine learning and large-scale data processing workloads.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver robust AI-enabled solutions.
  • Design and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Support transformation programmes and continuous improvement initiatives through innovative infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure all solutions align with organisational security, governance, compliance and operational standards.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise AI infrastructure performance, capacity and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership, expertise and best-practice guidance across AI infrastructure and platform technologies.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps, architecture reviews and strategic technology initiatives.

As a successful AI Infrastructure Engineer, you will have:

  • Proven experience working as an AI Infrastructure Engineer within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience designing, deploying and supporting infrastructure for AI and machine learning workloads.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, storage, compute platforms and high-performance infrastructure environments.
  • Understanding of AI/ML frameworks, GPU-based infrastructure and data platform technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions within complex environments.
  • Relevant certifications and industry experience are highly desirable.
