AI & INNOVATION RESEARCH INTERN

About Yasmine Mahmoudieh Design
Yasmine Mahmoudieh Design is an internationally recognised architecture and design practice working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, architecture, interior design, hospitality, regenerative design, advanced materials, and emerging technologies.
We are developing a new generation of research and innovation projects exploring how AI, digital technologies, VR, AR, 3D printing, recycled materials, and regenerative design can transform the way we design, build, communicate, and experience the world around us.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for exceptional students and emerging talents to join us remotely on a voluntary, part-time basis. This is not a conventional internship. We are looking for people who are already experimenting, building, researching, and creating. Your demonstrated ability, projects, and curiosity matter more to us than simply having the right degree.
AI and Agentic AI Priority
We are particularly looking for exceptional AI talent and may select two or three people in this area. We are NOT looking for people who simply know how to use AI chatbots like ChatGPT. We are looking for people who understand how to BUILD WITH AI and how to turn AI capabilities into systems that can perform useful work.
We are particularly interested in people who have already experimented with or built:
- AI agents
- Agentic workflows
- Autonomous research systems
- AI automations
- Multi-agent systems
- AI applications
- Prototypes
- API integrations
- Knowledge systems
- Research pipelines
- AI-powered business workflows
- Agentic software development
You may have experience with tools and platforms such as:
- Claude Code
- Manus
- ChatGPT agent
- OpenAI tools and APIs
- Anthropic tools and APIs
- Grok
- Perplexity
- Cursor
- Replit
- Lovable
- n8n
- Make
- Other emerging AI platforms
What matters is that you understand how to make AI systems work together, build workflows around them, delegate real tasks to agents, and turn an AI capability into something useful, repeatable, and scalable.
If you have built an AI agent, automation, application, workflow, research system, software prototype, or other AI-enabled project, SHOW US. A working prototype, GitHub repository, demonstration, video, or other evidence of what you have built is much more valuable to us than a list of AI tools on your CV.
We are particularly interested in people who constantly explore what AI can do next and ask how these capabilities can transform architecture, design, hospitality, research, marketing, and business development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
