Role: AI Machine Learning Engineer (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $100 - $200/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an AI Software Engineering Domain Expert to work on a contract basis to develop and optimize AI-driven software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in software engineering principles applied to AI systems, including model deployment, performance optimization, and integration with existing infrastructure. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure AI models meet technical and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain AI software components, including inference engines, model pipelines, and API integrations.
- Optimize AI models for latency, throughput, and scalability to meet real-world deployment constraints.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to translate AI models into production-ready software.
- Implement robust testing frameworks to validate AI software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Document technical specifications, architecture decisions, and deployment processes for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with AI software development, including frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX Runtime.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with a focus on performance-critical applications.
- Knowledge of model deployment strategies, including containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure components like GPUs, TPUs, and cloud-based AI services.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Experience with API design and integration for AI services, including REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
- Ability to analyze and optimize AI model performance in production environments.
