AI Marketing & GEO Intern

Location: [Remote US]
Duration: August - October 2026 (3 months), with strong possibility of extension based on performance
Compensation: Base stipend + performance bonus tied to engagement/traffic metrics

About the Role

We're building an AI-powered shopping advisor that helps people cut through marketing noise and make confident purchase decisions. As our AI Marketing & GEO Intern, you'll own organic growth experiments — creating content that resonates with real users, and helping us understand how our product shows up (and should show up) in AI-driven search and recommendation engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

This is a hands-on, experimental role. You'll ship content, watch the metrics move, and iterate fast — not sit in a strategy deck.

What You'll Do

  • Create organic content (social posts, short-form video, threads, community content) designed around real user needs — not generic brand messaging
  • Run experiments to grow traffic and engagement across owned channels (TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, etc.)
  • Talk to users — collect and synthesize feedback through DMs, comments, surveys, and light interviews to sharpen what we create
  • Learn and apply GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — test how our content and product get surfaced by AI answer engines, and iterate based on what works
  • Track and report on key metrics: engagement rate, click-through, time-on-content, follower growth, and qualitative user sentiment
  • Collaborate directly with the founding team — your experiments will shape actual go-to-market decisions, not just feed a report

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who You Are

  • Currently a university student (any year), studying anything — we care about output, not major
  • You've personally run a social media account (personal or brand) and can show us numbers — not just "I post sometimes"
  • You've had at least one post/video genuinely take off — you understand what makes content spread, not just what looks nice
  • Curious about AI, generative search, and how discovery is changing — you don't need GEO experience, but you should be excited to learn it fast
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — this is a 0-to-1 environment, not a defined playbook
  • Data-curious: you look at metrics after you post, not just vibes
