Luxoft AI Migration Automation Engineer Opportunity
Luxoft is supporting a major enterprise data transformation programme for one of the world's leading financial market infrastructure organisations and we're looking for an AI Migration Automation Engineer to help accelerate and industrialise large-scale cloud migration delivery.
This is a unique opportunity to combine GenAI, automation, data engineering, and cloud technologies within a strategic programme migrating a complex enterprise ETL estate from Matillion to AWS Glue. You'll be responsible for designing and building an agentic AI-driven migration framework that enables automated conversion, code generation, validation, and migration acceleration at scale. Working closely with architects, engineering teams, and migration factory pods, you'll help create the tooling and frameworks that will underpin a multi-million-pound transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop an agentic AI framework to automate and accelerate migration activities
- Build and maintain a library of reusable migration patterns and templates for common conversion scenarios
- Develop automated pipelines that convert and transform legacy code, configurations, and Matillion job definitions into target-state AWS solutions
- Integrate GitHub Copilot into migration workflows to improve developer productivity and accelerate code generation
- Build tooling to support migration factory teams delivering migrations at scale
- Create automated validation and testing frameworks to verify conversion quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and programme stakeholders to define migration standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot migration automation challenges and continuously enhance tooling capabilities
- Support proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new AI-powered migration techniques

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
