AI-Native Software Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI-Native Software Developer based in United Kingdom.
Join a fully remote, international engineering environment where innovation, ownership, and AI-driven development are at the heart of building impactful software solutions. In this role, you will work end-to-end on designing, developing, and improving products used by customers worldwide. You will leverage AI as an integral part of your engineering process, creating workflows, validation systems, and solutions that enhance productivity and software quality. This opportunity is ideal for a developer who enjoys experimenting with emerging technologies, solving complex challenges, and taking full responsibility for the products they create. You will have the autonomy to shape ideas into reliable, production-ready software while continuously improving how AI supports development.
Accountabilities
- Take full ownership of software development projects, from initial concepts and design through implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI as a development system by creating effective workflows, validation processes, and automation strategies to enhance engineering efficiency.
- Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions while ensuring reliability and strong performance in production environments.
- Monitor software behavior after release, analyze results, and identify opportunities to improve both products and development processes.
- Develop scalable backend solutions, including database design, complex queries, and application architecture improvements.
- Explore new approaches, test innovative ideas, and transform insights into practical, evidence-based product enhancements.

Requirements
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or other backend programming languages and frameworks.
- Strong SQL expertise, with the ability to design database schemas and write complex queries efficiently.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools and workflows as part of an end-to-end software development process, with practical examples of successful implementations.
- Strong commitment to software quality, including a habit of testing your own work and delivering reliable solutions.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical decisions, and manage projects from idea to completion.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring new technologies, solving challenging problems, and continuously improving engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a global, remote team.
