AI Network Tech Lead - Telecoms
London or Reading
Hybrid (Required in the office once per month)
£75,000 - £100,000 per annum
Want to shape how a leading global telecoms provider runs its network in the age of AI?
We're working with an engineering partner to some of the world's biggest Telecoms organisations on a Technical Lead role that sits right at the sharp end of AI-driven network operations. You'll own the AI technology roadmap for the Fixed Network domain and lead the delivery of Generative AI, Agentic AI and Network Digital Twin initiatives that move OSS platforms towards genuinely autonomous operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the reference architectures, design patterns and engineering standards, then work alongside internal teams, delivery partners and suppliers to get them built and into production.

What you'll be doing:
- Defining and driving the AI roadmap for Fixed Network platforms
- Leading delivery of GenAI, Agentic AI, Digital Twin and data intelligence programmes
- Finding the best opportunities to automate network planning, design, build, provisioning, assurance and operations
- Building scalable foundations for RAG, vector databases, LLM integration, agent orchestration, knowledge graphs and model lifecycle management
What you'll bring:
- Significant experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or Principal Engineer in a large-scale Telecoms enterprise
- Proven delivery of GenAI, LLM, Agentic AI, RAG or AI orchestration solutions
- Extensive hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience
- Strong Python, APIs, microservices and event-driven architecture skills

- Network Digital Twins, graph technologies, knowledge graphs or vector databases
- Hands-on time with Vertex AI, Gemini, Copilot, OpenAI or Claude
- MLOps, model governance, evaluation and production monitoring
