About the Role

We're scaling fast, and our internal systems need to scale faster. We're looking for an AI Operational Excellence Engineer to be the force multiplier behind our internal operations. Someone who identifies friction across the business and builds AI-powered systems, agents, and automations to eliminate it. This is a hybrid builder/strategist role: part engineer, part process owner, part internal consultant.

What You'll Do

  • Audit internal workflows (ops, support, finance, GTM, People) to find high-leverage automation opportunities.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automations (LLM-powered tools, workflow orchestration, internal copilots) that remove manual bottlenecks.
  • Partner with functional leads to translate messy, ambiguous processes into reliable, scalable systems.
  • Own key operational metrics (cycle time, error rate, cost-per-process) and drive measurable improvement.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI/automation tooling (internal builds vs. vendor tools) with a bias toward speed and pragmatism.
  • Build internal dashboards and monitoring so leadership has real-time visibility into operational health.
  • Establish scalable playbooks and documentation so improvements survive hypergrowth headcount changes.
  • Act as an internal "AI enablement" resource, training teams to use and trust new tools.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Bring

  • 3–6+ years in ops, automation engineering, data/analytics engineering, or a technical BizOps role.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, or workflow automation tools (e.g., Python, Zapier/Make, internal tooling, RAG pipelines).
  • Strong SQL and scripting skills; comfortable moving between spreadsheets, code, and no-code tools as the situation demands.
  • A track record of shipping things that actually get adopted. Not just prototypes.
  • Startup instincts: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and owning problems end-to-end.
  • Sharp process thinking. You can spot the real bottleneck, not just the visible symptom.
