Aflac is investing in a new generation of technology capability

Aflac is investing in a new generation of technology capability that will transform customer and employee experiences, scale the secure and responsible use of AI across the enterprise, and reshape how software is designed, built, tested and delivered. These roles will work across strategic product transformation, cloud and data platforms, enterprise AI services, context and knowledge engineering, quality, experience design and AI-enabled developer tooling. This is more than an opportunity to join an individual project: it is a chance to help build the platforms, practices and specialist capabilities that will turn AI into measurable business value at enterprise scale.

The Team

The AI Services team helps Aflac turn priority AI ideas into working products. The team tests what works, packages useful patterns, and helps other teams build on them. You will work closely with Context Engineering, Solution Architects, Enterprise Architecture, Security, QA and Application Support.

The Role

As an AI Platform Engineer, you will help build the secure AWS-based platform that other Aflac teams use for AI products. You will take ideas from design into production and make sure the platform is reliable, easy to use and practical for real business work. This is a hands-on engineering role. You will build services, improve quality, support teams that use the platform, and feed what you learn back into the roadmap.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Build the platform other Aflac teams use for AI products
  • Shape important engineering decisions while the capability is still being built
  • Work hands on with modern AWS AI services in real delivery work
  • Solve practical problems around reliability, quality and cost
  • Create patterns other engineers can reuse
  • Build something new and leave a lasting impact

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
