AI Platform Engineer
Multiple Locations Available: London, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester or Sheffield
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Contract Length: Initial 12-month contract
Start Date: November 2026
Rate: £580 per day (Inside IR35)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to support the build and enhancement of a secure AI platform for a leading enterprise banking client. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and securing AI/LLM solutions at scale, ensuring robust governance, security controls, and operational excellence across the AI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure AI platform capabilities, supporting enterprise-scale AI and Generative AI initiatives.
- Develop and enforce AI security controls, governance frameworks, guardrails, and compliance standards.
- Conduct AI red teaming, model security assessments, and vulnerability testing of LLM-based solutions.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and configuration management practices for AI applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists, security teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver secure AI services.
- Support the ongoing improvement of AI risk management, monitoring, and operational resilience within a regulated banking environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong experience in AI Security Engineering and secure AI platform development.
- Expertise in LLM Security, model security, threat modelling, and AI risk mitigation.
- Experience with AI Red Teaming, adversarial testing, and security validation techniques.
- Knowledge of AI Governance, responsible AI principles, and implementation of guardrails.
- Background in Security Data Science and AI/ML security best practices.
- Experience designing and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines and configuration management frameworks.
