We are building an enterprise-grade AI platform to enable secure, scalable and production-ready use of Generative AI and ML across the Customs Declaration Service within customer.
About the Role
The AI Platform Engineer will translate architectural designs into working systems, implementing AI services that integrate cleanly into enterprise applications, workflows and SDLC processes. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on productionisation. The Platform Engineer – AI Platform is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that enables secure, scalable and reusable AI capability across CDS. This role focuses on cloud-native architecture, reusable service patterns and platform automation rather than individual use case delivery.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement reusable AI service scaffolding (API wrappers, orchestration templates, IAM integration)
- Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure
- Implement secure networking, environment isolation and deployment pipelines
- Develop reusable integration components for RAG, orchestration and agent patterns
- Enforce platform standards for logging, telemetry and cost tracking
- Support use case squads in consuming platform services correctly

Required Skills
- Strong backend and cloud engineering experience
- Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems
- Familiarity with Bedrock AI services
- Enterprise security and governance awareness
