AI Platform Engineer

AI Platform Engineer is required to join a new Platform Engineering team as part of a major technology and AI transformation at one of the largest and most prestigious U.S. and global law firms. You’ll help build the internal developer platform, self-service tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, cloud automation, and observability capabilities that will support both traditional applications and modern AI workloads, involving reliability standards to AI workloads, while recognising where AI demands different primitives such as evaluations, non-deterministic failure handling, token economics, and confidentiality controls.

Hybrid role based in London. Salary £90-120k + Bens + Bonus (on-call is required)

Key Skills Required for the AI Platform Engineer

  • Senior-level Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or software engineering.
  • Exposure to AI / GenAI infrastructure, including retrieval/RAG, model gateways, evaluation frameworks, or agent-based systems, is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working in regulated environments.
  • Strong production coding skills in Go and Python, plus Bash and/or PowerShell.
  • CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, plus Helm, Ansible, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Experience with GitOps, ideally Argo CD or Flux.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Understanding of platform security, secrets management, policy-as-code, and SRE practices.
  • Experience working in Legal, professional services, or finance with complex enterprise systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
