AI Product Owner | Manchester (Office Based) | £90,000 + Fantastic Benefits | Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

We're looking for an exceptional AI Product Owner to take ownership of the AI product roadmap for a sales-led, essential business services provider at the forefront of digital innovation. The business has an unrivalled track record of year-on-year subscription growth and is part of a highly successful international Group. It is now investing seriously in AI, both in client-facing products and internally to drive efficiency across the business.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced AI Product Owner or AI Product Manager, or a Senior AI Engineer ready to move into product, to own AI products end to end. You'll set the vision and roadmap and take generative AI features from concept through to production-grade delivery.
What You'll Do
- Own the AI product vision and roadmap, leading the design and launch of market-leading AI features across the web and app-based product portfolio.
- Partner with product managers, content managers, engineers and senior stakeholders to define, prioritise, build and optimise AI, ML, LLM and GenAI solutions.
- Translate business and customer needs into clear requirements, user stories and a prioritised backlog.
- Use AI to broaden reach, engagement and utilisation across the company's services.
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiency through AI across the wider business, and build the business case for each.
- Track the competitive landscape and keep the product ahead of advances in GenAI.
- Define the success metrics for every AI feature and govern performance after launch.
- Analyse usage data and user feedback to drive continuous optimisation, reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Champion AI across the business, educating and supporting engineering teams and wider colleagues.

You'll Bring
- A degree in computer science, AI, machine learning or a related STEM field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager on AI or ML products, with confident stakeholder management and communication at all levels.
- A track record of taking business-critical ML models or GenAI features into production.
- Hands-on understanding of RAG applications, semantic search and text embeddings.
- Cloud experience, ideally with Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Strong ML and data science fundamentals, including NLP.
- The ability to manage AI, RAG and GenAI risk, and knowledge of fine-tuning models on proprietary datasets.
- Technical credibility with Python and SQL, and familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
