AI Product Specialist

Wedo has partnered with an AI-native business being built inside one of the world's largest industrial software companies. Rather than simply adding AI features into an existing platform, the business made the decision to build an entirely new AI-native company from the ground up. It operates with the freedom and pace of a startup, whilst leveraging everything its parent company has spent decades building.
That means access to:
- Thousands of enterprise customers already running mission-critical systems.
- Huge amounts of real operational data.
- Significant funding and long-term investment.
- Established global sales, delivery and support capability.
- Decades of knowledge across Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities, Aerospace, Defence and other industrial sectors.
It's effectively a startup with the backing, credibility and customer access of a global enterprise software business.
The company is only around 12 months old, has already surpassed $10m ARR and has ambitions to become a $1bn business within the next seven years.
The Role
This isn't a traditional Product Manager position.
Think of the role as part domain expert, AI Product Specialist, pre-sales specialist and trusted customer advisor.
Your value comes from understanding a particular job, function or industry deeply enough that you can effectively be the customer before the customer shows up.
If the team is building an AI workflow for a Finance Director, Maintenance Planner, Reliability Engineer, Auditor or Tax Specialist, you need to understand how that person actually works.
You'll use that knowledge to help shape agentic AI workflows that solve real operational problems. You'll then follow those workflows through the entire journey:
- Understand the problem → shape the workflow → define what good looks like → evaluate the output → demonstrate the value → deploy with the customer → identify what to solve next.

This is a hands-on role. We're looking for people who can understand a problem and help build something that solves it, rather than simply talk about transformation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Bringing deep domain expertise into the AI product development process.
- Helping shape and build agentic workflows around real-world operational problems.
- Defining what "good" looks like and evaluating AI outputs against it.
- Challenging workflows that might work technically but don't reflect how experienced professionals actually do their jobs.
- Working alongside AI Engineers, Product Managers and technical specialists.
- Demonstrating AI workflows directly to prospective customers.
- Translating AI capability into measurable outcomes around cost, productivity, uptime and risk.
- Staying involved beyond the pilot to improve and extend customer workflows.
- Identifying the next operational problem worth solving and growing the relationship.
Who We're Looking For
We're less interested in your current job title and more interested in the expertise you've built throughout your career.
You might have deep functional expertise across:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Audit
- Tax
- HR
- HSE
- Asset Management
- IT
Or industry expertise within:
- Manufacturing
- Energy
- Utilities
- Field Services
- Aerospace
- Defence
- Telecoms
You may still work directly within one of those environments. Alternatively, you might have already taken that expertise into Product Management, Functional Consulting, Solutions, Pre-Sales, Digital Transformation or AI.
Both routes are interesting.
We're particularly interested in people who combine functional expertise with experience inside asset-intensive industries.
Finance + Manufacturing. Audit + Energy. Asset Management + Utilities.
That's where things start getting particularly interesting.

What You'll Bring
- Deep expertise within a relevant industry or business function.
- Strong curiosity around AI and how it can change existing ways of working.
- Enough AI fluency to shape workflows, evaluate outputs and understand what works beyond a good demo.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills.
- The ability to translate technology into commercial and operational outcomes.
- An evidence-led mindset and the confidence to challenge when something isn't good enough.
- A builder mentality and comfort operating with pace and ambiguity.
You don't need to be a Software Engineer and coding experience isn't a requirement. What matters is that you're technically curious and understand your domain well enough to know whether an AI workflow would genuinely work for the people using it.
Where You'll Work
The role is remote, with hiring taking place across the UK and Europe. There will be customer travel. Depending on your expertise, that could mean manufacturing plants, aircraft hangars, operational sites or spending time alongside field engineers understanding how work actually happens.
The objective is to get close enough to the problem that you can help build something that genuinely solves it.
We're hiring at multiple levels. Whether you have four years of relevant experience or twenty, we're interested in the depth of expertise you can bring and your ability to apply it differently. We're also looking to hire 6 people.
