The role

A European AI company, backed by leading investors and with significant funding, is building AI capabilities to protect democracies. Their mission is to enable machines to perceive and assist human decision-making in critical sectors. This means solving for high generalisation, hard compute constraints, and robustness against adversarial attacks, all at scale. Engineers here come from backgrounds at top-tier AI and tech companies.

You'll join a computer vision team focused on object detection, recognition, classification, and tracking. This isn't a pure research role focused on academic papers; it's about shipping robust, real-world computer vision. You'll develop and extend state-of-the-art architectures, design rigorous experiments, and benchmark performance, always with an eye on real-world compute constraints. This is a rare seat for an engineer who wants to see their models deployed and making an impact, not just living in a lab.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
