Location: London, UK (onsite)
About the Role
Seeking an AI Research Scientist to join a globally recognised technology organisation at the forefront of AI research. As an AI Research Scientist, you'll contribute to cutting-edge research spanning computer vision, large language models, multimodal AI, and generative models. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel AI models and algorithms.
- Conduct research across multiple machine learning domains.
- Build and maintain large-scale datasets and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate ideas into deployable solutions.
- Evaluate and improve model performance through experimentation and analysis.
- Contribute to research publications, technical reports, and knowledge sharing.

Required Experience & Skills
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics
- Excellent publications history with research published in at least one of the following: CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR
- Experience in the industry as an AI Research Scientist or similar, working on the full-cycle development of ML algorithms, from design to implementation in Python & PyTorch
- Research expertise in one of the following: large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), multimodal AI, foundation models, or generative AI.
- Solid understanding of transformer-based architectures.
- Experience with model pre-training and fine-tuning.
- Familiarity with distributed training environments and large-scale compute infrastructure.
- Contributions to open-source projects or AI research communities.

Please note to be considered you must be coming from technology companies, research laboratories, AI-focused start-ups, or academia with at least 1.5 years of commercial experience following a PhD or postdoctoral position, combined with a strong publication record demonstrated by publications and experience developing state-of-the-art AI models.
