Role Description
The AI Resident will support the development and application of data-driven and machine learning solutions to enhance Synthesis Wealth Management’s advisory processes and internal operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves collaborating with wealth managers and operations teams to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and refine solutions based on feedback. This is a full-time, fixed contract, hybrid role based in Bath, where regular on-site collaboration is expected, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Data Science, with the ability to apply core concepts to real-world financial problems.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning, including model development, evaluation, and deployment in practical use cases.
- Robust Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, or similar languages) for building prototypes, data pipelines, and analytical tools.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, including statistical reasoning, problem decomposition, and rigorous interpretation of results.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Comfort working with financial data sets and interest in wealth management or financial services; prior experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Self-directed work style, with the capacity to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in a changing environment.
