Leading AI Governance in a UK Investment Firm

This UK Investment Firm is going through a full AI transformation, and you're the person leading governance.

About the Role

This is a newly created lead seat. You have full autonomy to shape how AI governance is built, embedded and run across a £35 billion AUM fund. There is no blueprint handed to you, no committee deciding your every move. You own it.

The fund is serious about AI. This is not a box-ticking exercise or a slow-moving internal project. The transformation is real, the investment is real, and the appetite at the top is there. You are walking into something that genuinely matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Flexibility and Location

You can work almost entirely from home if you would like. The expectation is roughly one day in the London office per month, though the space is there if you want it more often. It is a fantastic office. But the flexibility is genuine.

Industry Experience

This is also your chance to get deep into the investment industry if you have not been there before. The sector adds serious weight to a governance career, and this role puts you at the centre of it.

Key Requirements

What actually matters here is your risk background. A strong foundation in traditional risk thinking is more important than direct AI experience. You understand how to identify, assess and manage risk at a structural level, and you can bring that lens to AI governance. The industry you come from is not a concern.
