Are you interested in accelerating the fight against dementia?
Join our team at Prodromic to translate AI-powered solutions for early dementia prediction to healthcare
About us
Prodromic is a Cambridge-based AI health technology spin-out dedicated to transforming brain health through responsible multimodal AI. Our platform, Sia, provides early personalised predictions of dementia progression and helps stratify patients using cognitive assessments, imaging, blood-based biomarkers, genetics, proteomics, and health records. Drawing on over a decade of groundbreaking research, we convert complex biological data into clear, clinically useful insights. These insights help accelerate clinical trials, reduce costs, and deliver better outcomes for patients in everyday care.
We are currently advancing Sia from a well-validated research prototype to a fully regulated medical software device. This is a great opportunity to join our dynamic, growing, and highly driven team and contribute directly to the fight against dementia by accelerating the development of our AI powered-solution for NHS adoption and wider deployment.
About the roles
AI Scientist
As AI Scientist you will take a central, practical role in optimising and transforming the core research machine learning models that power Sia into robust, production-ready AI components suitable for a regulated medical device. You will work closely with our software engineer, platform integration specialist, clinicians, and regulatory experts to refactor models, run experiments, ensure reliability and explainability, and generate the evidence required to meet IEC 62304 standards.
This position suits an AI specialist who thrives on hands-on problem solving and enjoys moving innovative research models into real-world clinical applications.
Software Engineer
As Software Engineer you will take a central, practical role in turning the existing Sia research prototype into a secure, production-ready medical software platform that meets IEC 62304 and related regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our AI scientist, engineer, platform integration specialist, clinicians, and regulatory experts to design robust architecture, set up reliable development processes, integrate advanced AI models, and support all necessary testing and documentation activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Quality and Regulatory Affairs Specialist
As Quality and Regulatory Affairs Specialist you will own the day-to-day quality and regulatory work that takes Sia (Software as a Medical Device) through to UKCA marking and NHS deployment. You will build and run our quality management system, maintain the regulatory documentation and technical file, and make sure our development, validation, and clinical evidence activities meet IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
You will work closely with all our team including software engineer, AI scientist, platform integration specialist, clinicians, and regulatory advisors, translating regulatory requirements into clear, workable processes the team can actually follow. This is a hands-on, standalone role with consultant support available that suits someone who wants ownership of a regulatory programme and is comfortable being the person who keeps it on track.
