AI Search Optimisation Specialist (GEO/AEO)

6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | Up to £550/day | London, Hybrid (3 days on-site) | ASAP Start

The Brief

A leading integrated marketing group in beauty and wellness, spanning earned media, a 40,000+ creator platform, brand experience and content, is looking for a senior GEO/AEO specialist. The group already influences most of the surfaces AI models draw on when recommending products; this role is about orchestrating that deliberately, with measurement attached.

You'll walk into a live, CEO-level challenge: a global beauty client has been set a target of a top-three UK AI visibility ranking within three months, up from around 50th today. It's a newly created role reporting to the CPO, working across PR, creator, brand and content teams and engineering from week one.

What You'll Do

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Reverse-engineer competitor citation profiles and build a costed, sequenced route to close the gap
  • Present diagnosis and counsel directly to senior client stakeholders, including an honest read on what isn't achievable
  • Reshape earned/PR strategy around citation value, and build out reviews, ratings and off-site authority
  • Set LLM-ready content standards and fix the structural layer: schema, crawler access, freshness
  • Resolve brand/product entity issues across sub-brands and SKUs
  • Turn creator content into a discoverable, citable asset
  • Stand up prompt-level visibility and citation tracking, and attribute movement back to source type
  • Train and upskill internal teams so the standard survives after you leave

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years senior/lead technical SEO or growth, with genuine hands-on implementation, not agency oversight
  • Demonstrable structured data/schema implementation at scale
  • A clear, evidenced POV on how retrieval-augmented systems select and cite sources
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders, comfortable holding a position under pressure
  • Experience with digital PR, review platforms, or off-site authority work
  • Comfortable with GA4, Looker or Power BI, and defining metrics from scratch
  • A track record training non-specialist teams to apply technical standards independently
