AI Security Architect
Salary: Competitive salary and package (Depending on level of experience)
Locations: London/ Manchester (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis)
Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history (typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK) at the point of application.
We are looking for a AI Security Architect to join Accenture’s Secure AI practice, working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cyber security. In this role, you will help clients both harness AI to transform their security operations and ensure that the AI systems they build and deploy are themselves secure, trustworthy, and resilient by design. You will work directly with clients to shape opportunities, architect solutions, and bring Accenture’s market-leading capabilities to bear on their most complex challenges — whether that means deploying AI to strengthen cyber defence, or embedding security into AI pipelines, infrastructure, and governance frameworks from the ground up.
A key dimension of this role is Identity and Access Management. You will advise clients on applying AI to modernise IAM — including intelligent access governance, anomalous behaviour detection, AI-driven privileged access controls, and identity threat detection and response (ITDR) — and on securing the identities within AI systems themselves, including machine identities, non-human principals, and access to models, training data, and inference endpoints. You will combine deep security architecture expertise with a strong commercial mindset, contributing to pursuits, bids, and thought leadership that differentiate Accenture in the market. As a team:
- Work within Accenture’s Secure AI practice at the cutting edge of AI and cyber security, shaping how clients defend with AI and secure their AI investments
- Collaborate with cyber strategy, AI engineering, data science, and delivery teams to win and deliver security transformation programmes
- Contribute to Accenture’s Secure AI propositions, go-to-market strategy, and thought leadership across both AI for Security and Security for AI
As an AI Security Architect you will:
- Engage directly with clients to identify, shape, and qualify opportunities across AI-driven security and the security of AI systems
- Architect AI-powered security solutions spanning threat detection, SIEM/SOAR modernisation, anomaly detection, automated incident response, and predictive risk modelling
- Define security architectures for AI pipelines, data platforms, model registries, and inference environments, embedding security from design through to deployment
- Advise clients on applying AI to Identity and Access Management — including intelligent access governance, AI-driven PAM, anomalous behaviour detection, and ITDR — and on governing identities within AI systems including machine and non-human identities
- Assess and help mitigate AI-specific risks including adversarial attacks, data poisoning, model theft, and supply chain vulnerabilities
- Support clients in navigating the evolving AI regulatory landscape — including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC 42001 — and maturing their AI governance and control frameworks
- Develop compelling proposals, architectures, and business cases that articulate the value of Accenture’s capabilities
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a credible advisor across both security and AI domains
- Contribute to bids, pursuits, and practice-building activities including thought leadership and go-to-market initiatives

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Experience with AI-specific threats and controls: adversarial robustness, data integrity, model theft, and supply chain security
- Solid grounding in Identity and Access Management, including PAM, IGA, ITDR, and machine/non-human identity governance
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk) and SOAR tooling
