Building our AI capability

AI is creating new opportunities for businesses to work smarter, move faster, and unlock greater value from their data. We're investing in the capability, people, and expertise needed to help our customers turn that potential into real-world results.

Our AI Practice designs and delivers practical solutions using Microsoft's AI, data, and cloud platforms. From AI agents and advanced analytics to Copilot-powered experiences, we help organisations solve meaningful business challenges while maintaining the security, governance, and control they expect.

This is a chance to join at an exciting stage of growth. As part of a small, high-impact team, you'll help define how we deliver AI solutions, influence our technical direction, and play a key role in establishing a capability that will shape the future of Virtuoso and our customers.

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to create AI-powered products, agentic applications, and integrations across Azure and Microsoft 365. You’ll contribute across a broad technical brief spanning software engineering, data engineering, and solution architecture.

  • Ownership throughout the solution lifecycle: From discovery and design through to build, optimisation, deployment, and continual improvement.
  • AI in your work: Using coding agents to accelerate delivery while applying sound judgement about where AI adds genuine value.
  • Customer collaboration: Working directly with customers to understand their businesses, uncover challenges, and shape practical solutions alongside them.
  • Communication and relationships: Combining technical depth with strong communication skills, building trusted relationships and delivering outcomes that make a meaningful difference.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
