About The Role
We are seeking a talented AI Software Engineer with strong expertise in C#.NET to join our client’s dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI integration within established software products. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming emerging AI capabilities into robust, production-ready features that directly impact the company's product suite. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered functionalities that are reliable, efficient, and scalable.
This position is ideal for a developer who combines solid software engineering fundamentals with practical experience in large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering. Your work will involve taking AI concepts from initial experimentation to seamless integration, ensuring that each feature meets standards for accuracy, safety, and performance. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development, with proven commercial experience in C#.NET environments. Hands-on experience working with large language models and AI APIs is essential, along with a good understanding of prompt engineering, context design, and structured output generation. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to take ideas from concept to deployment quickly, with a pragmatic approach to balancing speed and quality. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, multi-provider LLM APIs, and AI evaluation frameworks. Knowledge of SaaS environments, modernizing legacy platforms, and working within distributed systems will also set candidates apart. Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and articulate business problems behind technical solutions are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement prompts, context strategies, and integrations for real-world product features utilizing LLMs.
- Develop and maintain AI-powered capabilities primarily using C#.NET, ensuring seamless integration with existing codebases.
- Create production-grade AI services with comprehensive error handling, fallbacks, monitoring, and logging mechanisms.
- Prototype innovative ideas rapidly, and convert successful experiments into reliable, scalable features suitable for deployment.
- Establish structured approaches to evaluating LLM outputs within actual business scenarios, using measurable metrics.
- Work with multiple LLM APIs from different providers, making pragmatic decisions regarding quality, latency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions adhere to established standards, architecture, and deployment pipelines.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI and share insights and best practices with colleagues.
- Engage with product owners and subject matter experts to thoroughly understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure AI features are developed with a focus on accuracy, safety, and proper data handling.
