Location: Remote or Surrey/London (UK/Europe time zones preferred)

Contract Type: Independent Contractor / Self-Employed Freelancer

Commitment: 30–40 hours per month

About Marhala AI

Marhala AI is the AI operating system purpose-built for hotels and travel agents. We combine automated guest messaging, emotion-aware CRM, intelligent lead scoring, and direct booking engines into a seamless modular SaaS platform. We are scaling rapidly, empowering hospitality teams across the UK and beyond to capture, understand, and convert every guest enquiry around the clock.

Role Overview

We are looking for a pragmatic, high-impact AI Software Engineer Contractor to join our lean engineering team on a flexible, part-time basis (30–40 hours per month).

In this role, you will help architect, optimise, and scale our core AI infrastructure, including our WhatsApp/AI website chatbots, intent-scoring models, and multi-channel CRM integrations. If you thrive in fast-paced startup environments and love building robust, production-grade AI features that solve real-world business problems, we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be expected to arrange a twice-monthly or weekly short video call meeting with the CEO, and use Microsoft Planner project management board to post updates about their progress with allocated project tickets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
