About The Role
Infosec is seeking a highly skilled AI Software Engineer to join its fully remote, UK-based team. This senior-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity technology by developing intelligent AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, and operating security tooling. The role involves creating autonomous systems that can identify vulnerabilities within controlled environments, automate penetration testing processes, and enhance security operations. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with security researchers and other engineering teams to translate offensive security techniques into effective AI-driven solutions. You will also lead code reviews, contribute to the development of reliable production systems, and help shape the future of autonomous cybersecurity tools.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building and scaling production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python is essential, along with a willingness to work with or learn Go.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, agentic frameworks, and AI applications.
- Solid understanding of technologies such as RAG, MCP, LangGraph, and related tool integration and prompt design.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, gRPC, API design, asynchronous messaging, and platforms like Pub/Sub or Kafka.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and testing skills.
- Genuine interest in understanding system security and vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI agents that automate penetration testing tasks, including planning, tool use, and reasoning over security findings.
- Create and maintain sandboxed cyber-lab and range infrastructure utilizing containers and Kubernetes for testing and development purposes.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI features from initial concept through to production deployment, including evaluations, guardrails, and ongoing monitoring.
- Enhance agent performance by implementing prompt engineering, tool orchestration, evaluation, and optimizing token and cost efficiency.
- Integrate various security tools and ensure AI agents operate safely within predefined scopes and parameters.
- Collaborate with security researchers to translate offensive security techniques into effective AI agent behaviors.
- Conduct code reviews, facilitate technical design discussions, and mentor other engineers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of reliable, scalable, and secure production systems within a polyglot technology environment.
