Job Title: Software Engineer / Python Developer
Type - Contract
Location - Remote
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and collaborative Software Engineer to contribute to the development, enhancement, and deployment of new and existing software products. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, a passion for writing high-quality and maintainable code, and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional product and engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and backend solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and high-quality Python code following industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of new and existing products and features.
- Participate in code reviews, paired programming, testing, debugging, and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Take ownership of technical and product-related decisions and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and data-driven solutions.
- Work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and development processes.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate tools and approaches for different technical requirements.
- Follow an iterative development approach, experiment with new ideas, and continuously improve engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support applications through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong professional experience with Python development.
- Hands-on experience with one or more Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.
- Experience working with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with data engineering/workflow tools such as Kedro and Databricks.
- Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle, CI/CD, version control, testing, and deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience developing cloud-native and distributed applications.
- Understanding of data pipelines, APIs, microservices, and scalable backend architectures.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Ability to evaluate and adopt modern technologies based on business and technical needs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A continuous-learning mindset with enthusiasm for experimenting and improving existing processes.
