A Career with Point72's Market Intelligence Team

On our proprietary research team—Market Intelligence—you’ll partner with our investment professionals and Compliance team to work with alternative data to uncover insights about companies, industries, and the broader economy through deep fundamental research and applying data science and engineering techniques. You’ll work alongside a talented team with diverse skills, backgrounds, and perspectives. Our sector data analysts, data scientists, data managers, and engineers work together to build compliant research products that are incorporated into the research process of our investment professionals. We look for other bright, motivated, and collaborative people to join our team and grow with us—a majority of the leaders in our group were promoted from within.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Act as a forward-deployed solution architect: partner with EMEA Pods and business groups to identify high-value AI use cases, understand research workflows, and shape practical solution designs. Use lightweight proof-of-concepts selectively to validate value before larger build decisions.
  • Be the bridge between EMEA teams and the firm’s AI resources: turn messy team signal into concrete product and platform asks, surface existing firm capabilities before teams reinvent them, and help firm-wide teams understand regional priorities.
  • Lead the enablement motion through teach-ins, prompt and tool literacy, and best-practice sharing, helping teams move beyond “AI is new and exciting” towards “AI is how we work.”
  • Provide the light-touch technical support that unblocks a team—such as a quick integration or precise bug report—without owning or maintaining core production systems.
  • Track adoption and impact with simple metrics, and feed what is working back to the teams building firm-wide capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing product, solution-engineering, or forward-deployed role. Early-stage or startup experience—working directly with users and moving quickly—is a strong plus.

Comfort with Python, modern LLM and agentic tooling—including model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agents—and SQL/data is expected; hands-on engineering experience is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree; a STEM background or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
  • A track record of gathering requirements from non-technical users and translating them into solutions people actually adopt.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and how investment research gets done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior investment professionals.
  • Strong product instinct, bias to action, high energy, and comfort operating with ambiguity.
