AI Solutions Architect
Our client, a leading global investment management firm, is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to join its Market Intelligence team. This group partners closely with investment professionals across Fundamental Equity investment pods, leveraging alternative data, AI, and technology-driven research solutions to generate differentiated market insights and support investment decision-making.
This is a highly visible, front-office-facing role that requires exceptional communication skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to engage directly with investment professionals and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, helping research teams identify and adopt AI-driven solutions that improve workflows, productivity, and investment outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a forward-deployed AI solutions partner to investment teams across EMEA, identifying high-impact opportunities to improve research workflows through AI and automation.
- Collaborate directly with investment professionals to understand challenges, prioritize use cases, and design practical AI-powered solutions.
- Act as the bridge between business users and central AI, data, and engineering teams, translating business needs into scalable product and platform enhancements.
- Develop lightweight prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas, demonstrate value, and accelerate adoption.
- Drive AI enablement through workshops, training sessions, prompt engineering best practices, and knowledge sharing across investment teams.
- Provide hands-on support for AI tools and workflows, helping teams overcome technical roadblocks without owning long-term production systems.
- Track adoption and business impact, sharing insights with product and engineering teams to help shape future AI capabilities.
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to enhance the firm's research process.

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture, Product Consulting, Forward-Deployed Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a similar client-facing technical role.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior investment professionals and business leaders.
- Strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to understand user needs, influence adoption, and deliver practical business solutions.
- Hands-on experience working with modern AI platforms and large language models, including tools such as Claude, GPT, and related AI ecosystems.
- Understanding of AI application design, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and model APIs.
- Technical foundation in Python, SQL, data analysis, and software development concepts. This role is focused primarily on AI solution design and business impact rather than deep software engineering.
- Experience translating complex business requirements into solutions that drive adoption and measurable value.
- Startup, scale-up, or entrepreneurial experience is highly desirable.
- Interest in financial markets, investment research, and the application of AI within the investment management industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical experience.

Base Salary: £115,000 - £145,000
