Role: AI Solutions Architect
Location: Bristol HQ – Hybrid Model – 3 days p/w on site
Salary: DOE
We are seeking an AI Solutions Architect to shape, build and deploy AI-enabled solutions directly alongside our clients. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that combines strategic architecture, software engineering and AI delivery expertise.
Working across both pre-sales and implementation, you will assess opportunities, design scalable architectures, build working solutions and lead the first delivery increments. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, ensuring solutions are commercially viable, technically robust and capable of delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead end-to-end solution architectures that align with business requirements and enterprise standards.
- Take technical ownership of AI and software solutions through design, build, integration, testing and deployment.
- Build APIs, integrations, data pipelines and cloud-native solutions that enable scalable AI applications.
- Evaluate, implement and optimise ML and LLM technologies, balancing performance, cost and risk.
- Lead client discovery, requirements gathering and feasibility assessments to identify high-value AI opportunities.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding clients on architecture decisions and responsible AI adoption.
- Own the technical elements of bids, proposals and proof-of-concepts, ensuring solutions are deliverable and commercially viable.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to translate business challenges into working solutions.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging AI technologies and apply relevant innovations to client engagements.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex software and cloud-based solutions.
- Strong hands-on software engineering and integration experience.
- Experience delivering AI, machine learning or generative AI solutions in production environments.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, data engineering and cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement ML/LLM technologies against business requirements.
- Experience leading client engagements from discovery through to delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of technical delivery under broad direction.

Desirable
- Previous experience as a Forward-Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Delivery Lead or similar customer-facing role.
- Experience building AI applications using modern LLM, agentic AI and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent commercial experience.
- Cloud platform certifications (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF or equivalent.
- Experience working in consulting, professional services or technology delivery environments.
