AI Solutions Engineer – Microsoft Copilot
Location: London – Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £600–£700 per day
About the Role
We are seeking an innovative and pragmatic AI Solutions Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI-powered agents within the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem. You will build intelligent agents that automate activities across Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, reducing manual effort, improving data quality and accelerating workflow execution. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and enterprise automation, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver practical AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and related Microsoft AI technologies.
- Create workflow-driven agents to automate activities across PLM processes.
- Build solutions that populate, update and validate business templates and documentation.
- Integrate Copilot agents with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform and Dataverse.
- Develop workflows connecting multiple process stages and business functions.
- Work closely with product, engineering, operations and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
- Implement appropriate governance, security, compliance and monitoring controls for AI solutions.
- Develop reusable agent frameworks and automation patterns to support future deployments.
- Support pilots, proof-of-concepts and scaled production implementations.
- Document solutions, provide user training and establish best practices for AI adoption.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience working within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online and Dataverse.
- Experience integrating solutions with Microsoft Teams.
- Understanding of workflow automation and business process orchestration.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications and data sources.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, prompt engineering and AI/agent-based automation.
- Strong stakeholder management and business analysis skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Experience working within governed enterprise environments.

Preferred Skills
- Python – particularly useful for AI and automation development.
- SQL and Bash.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure AI.
- Experience designing and deploying AI-driven workflow solutions.
- Knowledge of API integrations, workflow orchestration and document/template automation.
- Experience delivering AI proof-of-concepts through to production.
