Third Bridge
Third Bridge is a leading global research firm established in 2007, with a team of over 1,500 employees worldwide dedicated to fueling decisions with expert insights. We accelerate and enhance decision-making for investors and business leaders by unearthing unique expert insights across multiple sectors, geographies, and topics.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve helped clients access knowledge on demand from experts, in-person and through our Library covering over 65,000 companies.
Do you get more excited by a vague problem than a fully-specced one? Are you the person who's already built something with AI before anyone asked you to? Third Bridge is creating a brand-new AI function — and you’ll be one of the first!
These are founding roles. You'll be embedded with business teams across our global organisation — understanding their workflows, identifying automation opportunities, building solutions that genuinely change how people work, and making sure those solutions stick!
What You'll Do
You'll sit at the heart of a fast-moving, deliberately exploratory new team, working across revenue, operations, and everything in between:
- Discover, map, and build: You'll embed yourself with business units, get under the skin of their daily workflows, identify where AI adds real value (versus where traditional code or P&T support is the better answer), and then build and deploy the solution — hands-on, sleeves rolled up.
- Make it stick: You won't throw solutions over the fence. You'll actively train internal teams so they can own, iterate, and develop agents themselves — your goal is to make them less dependent on you over time, not more.
- Monitor and maintain in production: You'll define success KPIs for every agent you deploy and proactively track performance as models (e.g. Claude) update or data structures evolve. Problems get caught by you, not by clients.
- Govern as you go: You bake compliance and risk controls into your builds from day one — not as an afterthought. You'll work alongside Compliance, Legal, and Risk to ensure every solution is approved before it goes anywhere near a client.
- Build the knowledge base: Your prompts, playbooks, and best-practice documentation will form the reusable library that the whole team learns from.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You'll Bring
You bring a balance of technical experience and genuine commercial curiosity. In this role, if you only talk about the technology or only talk about the business outcome, that's a flag — you do both instinctively.
- Hands-on AI agent and prompt engineering experience: Your experience of designing and deploying production LLM solutions goes beyond side projects. You can point to concrete outputs — agents that shipped, workflows that changed, problems that got solved.
- Business analysis instincts: Before you write a single line of a prompt, you ask "what's actually broken here?" Your experience mapping processes and structuring problem statements means you build the right thing, not just a technically impressive thing.
- Technical foundations that match your level: For senior hires, your toolkit includes Python, RAG, API integrations, and agent architecture. For mid-level hires, your learning trajectory and intellectual curiosity matter as much as your current depth.
- Communication that bridges the gap: You can explain hallucination, context windows, and bidirectional encoding to a VP with no technical background — clearly, confidently, and without condescension. The training element of this role is as important as the building element.
- Pragmatic quality obsession: You favour shipped-and-good over perfect-and-delayed — but you don't ship outputs you don't understand or can't control. That's the balance this role requires.
How will you be rewarded?
We truly care about our people so in return for your work, you’ll get:
- Vacation: 25 days (which increases to 28 days after 2 years of service) plus UK Bank Holidays
- Learning: personal development allowance of £1000 per year
