AI Solutions Engineer | SC Cleared (Active/Lapsed) | Outside IR35 | Remote | £450 - 600pd
We are supporting a growing technology consultancy delivering AI, automation, and digital transformation projects across enterprise and public sector environments.
An immediate requirement exists for an experienced AI Solutions Engineer to support a number of high-profile programs focused on intelligent automation, digital innovation, and emerging technologies.
This is an initial contract opportunity with strong potential for extension and involvement in longer-term project work.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Copilot Studio agents, including conversational, autonomous, and multi-agent solutions
- Evaluate client requirements and determine the right technical approach across Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry/Azure AI, and traditional automation
- Prototype and validate AI solutions and emerging technologies before full implementation
- Support client discovery and solution-design sessions, translating business requirements into practical technical solutions
- Build and enhance solutions across Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365
- Develop integrations using Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and Azure services
- Work with stakeholders to identify where AI can add genuine business value – and where simpler automation approaches may be more appropriate
- Contribute to technical documentation, development standards, and deployment processes
- Work within Azure DevOps, including source control, CI/CD, and Dev/Test/Prod environments

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including building and deploying agents
- Strong Microsoft Power Platform experience, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI services, ideally including AI Search and other generative AI capabilities
- Understanding of different AI approaches including conversational agents, knowledge retrieval, document processing, and autonomous workflows
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365 services and enterprise systems using Microsoft Graph and REST APIs
- Understanding of Entra ID, app registrations, permissions, and authentication
- Good software development fundamentals, including Git, CI/CD, and Agile/DevOps practices
- Strong stakeholder-facing skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working independently in a predominantly remote consulting environment
