AI Solutions Support Lead – London Market Insurer

I’m currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leading London Market insurer seeking an experienced AI Solutions Support Lead to take ownership of AI solutions once they move into production.

This is a key role within the organisation’s growing AI capability, combining technical leadership, operational support, incident management and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will lead a team of AI engineers through strategic delivery partners and act as the central coordination point across AI Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Technology, business stakeholders and governance teams.

The Role

You will take operational ownership of production AI solutions, ensuring they remain stable, reliable, performant, compliant and aligned to business needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of AI solutions following deployment and handover from delivery teams.
  • Establishing and maintaining support processes, runbooks, monitoring dashboards, escalation paths and operational procedures.
  • Leading the investigation and resolution of production incidents and defects.
  • Acting as the primary coordination point during major AI-related incidents.
  • Monitoring solution performance, reliability, usage, accuracy, cost and value.
  • Identifying performance degradation, model drift, bias and fairness concerns.
  • Managing enhancement backlogs and coordinating approved improvements and releases.
  • Working closely with Data Engineering, Data Science & AI, Technology and external delivery partners.
  • Ensuring AI solutions operate within appropriate governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Leading and coordinating technical teams and partner resources to deliver high-quality operational support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
