Job Title

AI Strategist

Salary

£35,000–£40,000

Company Description

Innate AI is a boutique London-based AI implementation consultancy founded by an ex-McKinsey veteran from Oxford. The firm transforms operationally complex, mid-sized businesses with turnovers up to £200m—including luxury goods, retail, and professional services firms—by replacing fragmented legacy spreadsheet processes with bespoke, fully-functional AI systems and automated workflows.

Job Description

You will transform client problems into working AI products from week one. Working directly with the founder, you will handle the full lifecycle from discovery and rapid prototyping in Claude Code to deployment and user training. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on building, ensuring AI actually delivers measurable ROI rather than just staying as a slide deck.

Location

London, UK

Why this role is remarkable

  • Direct client impact: Within your first fortnight, you will be in front of clients and shipping prototypes that solve real-world operational bottlenecks for £200m turnover businesses.
  • High-pedigree mentorship: Work alongside an ex-McKinsey founder in an agile 7-person team where you will skip traditional entry-level "grunt work" and learn the business of AI through direct accountability.
  • Elite tool access and environment: Access every AI tool you need to ship fast while working in a hybrid London office featuring a building-wide gym, sauna, and pool.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Do

  • Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to analyze business processes and translate vague client briefs into viable AI-driven solutions and technical problem statements.
  • Rapidly build and iterate on functional prototypes using Claude Code and Google Stitch, moving from initial concept to a working model for client review in under two weeks.
  • Collaborate with developers by writing technical tickets and performing rigorous prompt engineering and testing to ensure deployed systems are robust, secure, and user-ready.

The ideal candidate

  • A high achiever with 0-2 years of experience and a strong academic record from a top-tier university, supplemented by evidence of building or running a society, business, or project.
  • Technically proactive and curious, you already build AI agents or tools in your own time using Claude Code or similar platforms without being prompted by a manager or course.
  • A clear, confident communicator with strong product instinct who can explain technical architectures to non-technical stakeholders and design intuitive user flows that solve confusion.

  • If it's a match and the company wants to meet you, they'll make the intro. In the meantime, if you'd like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.

This isn't a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack's network.

Sometimes Jill's clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can't share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn't much we can do about it.
