AI Test Engineer (SC Clearance)

About the Role / Job Summary:
The AI Test Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, planning, and executing tests and evaluation frameworks for AI. Candidates should possess hands-on experience in AI-assisted testing, with a strong emphasis on Python programming and the use of testing frameworks such as PyTest. This position offers a daily rate of £700, inside IR35, with a contract running until the end of December 2026, and a strong chance of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop testing and evaluation frameworks for AI applications.
- Execute tests and analyse AI-specific quality attributes, including accuracy and robustness.
- Utilise Python and PyTest to create automated test suites and validation pipelines.
- Collaborate with data science teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Maintain compliance with government standards and regulations.
- Document testing processes and results for stakeholder review.

Qualifications:
- Active SC Clearance required (must have worked in government within the last 12 months).
- Proven experience in AI testing and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, particularly PyTest.
- Familiarity with AI-related quality attributes and evaluation metrics.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software testing or AI technologies are advantageous.
