Summary

Use your engineering expertise to assess AI-generated calculations, design reviews, tolerance analyses, thermal and fluid simulations, manufacturing recommendations, and failure investigations. You'll help train AI systems to reason more effectively like experienced mechanical engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Design realistic engineering scenarios based on real-world projects
  • Evaluate AI-generated engineering calculations, designs, and reports
  • Compare AI outputs and identify technical errors, risks, and missed edge cases
  • Create evaluation criteria, grading rubrics, and worked solutions
  • Provide detailed feedback on mechanical design, manufacturing, analysis, and testing decisions

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Strong background in at least one of: (Mechanical Design & Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Structural & Materials Engineering, Thermal & Fluid Systems, Robotics & Automation, Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, HVAC, or Medical Devices)
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes

Preferred Backgrounds

  • FEA, CFD, MATLAB, or Python-based engineering analysis
  • GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-ups, and reliability engineering
  • Failure analysis and root cause investigation
  • PE license (not required)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (LLMs)
