Interim AI Transformation Lead
London | Hybrid | 6+ Month Contract
A high-growth, technology-led financial services business is seeking an experienced Interim AI Transformation Lead to work directly with the CTO and executive leadership team.
This is a business transformation role rather than a pure technical AI position. The successful candidate will help the organisation identify where AI can create value, accelerate adoption across the business, and build the capability required for long-term success.
The assignment will focus heavily on organisational change, workforce reskilling, stakeholder engagement and embedding AI into day-to-day operations.
The Opportunity
You will partner with senior leaders to:
- Develop and execute the organisation's AI transformation roadmap.
- Identify and prioritise AI use cases across business and technology functions.
- Lead the cultural and behavioural change required to drive AI adoption.
- Design and implement AI training, education and reskilling programmes.
- Build AI literacy across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Create an AI champion network and establish sustainable adoption practices.
- Help leaders redesign processes and ways of working to maximise the benefits of AI.
- Implement appropriate AI governance, risk and control frameworks.
- Measure adoption, capability growth and business outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
