About the Role
James Drake Media is looking for a talented AI Content Creator with a strong foundation in traditional video production to join us on a freelance basis. Our content lives at the intersection of art, history, and the lives of great writers and artists of the past, so we're looking for someone who can bring both technical craft and genuine creative sensibility to the table.
This isn't a "prompt and publish" role. We need someone who understands storytelling, editing rhythm, and visual composition from traditional production experience, and who has also gone deep into modern AI creative pipelines to push what's visually possible.
What You'll Do
- Conceive, produce, and edit short-form and long-form video content centered on art, history, and historical figures
- Combine traditional editing techniques with AI-generated visuals, upscaling, and motion tools to create polished, distinctive content
- Build and refine AI workflows (nodes, pipelines, models) to achieve consistent, high-quality visual results
- Collaborate with the team on creative direction, storyboarding, and narrative structure
- Stay current with emerging AI creative tools and bring new techniques into our production pipeline

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in traditional video editing, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro required
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following advanced AI workflow platforms: Magnific, ComfyUI, Higgsfield Canvas, Krea Nodes (or comparable tools)
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition
- Mid-level to Senior experience level, this is not an entry-level position
- A portfolio or reel demonstrating both traditional editing and AI-assisted work

Nice to Have
- After Effects experience
- Background or strong personal interest in art history, classic literature, or historical biography — familiarity with great writers and artists of the past is a real plus
- Experience creating content for social/digital platforms
Details
- Contract type: Freelance / Project-based, ongoing collaboration possible
- Location: Fully remote, open to candidates worldwide (Europe based prefered)
