Professional background
Aidan had a first career in International Human Resources working for 22 years with international companies. Aidan has held senior leadership positions himself, holding HRD EMEA positions for both Motorola and Sony. This career gave Aidan deep experience in leading and managing transformational change in organizations as well as conflict resolution and employee relations. Always interested in personal development, and having benefited from great leadership training himself, Aidan retrained to become an Executive Coach in 2006, and has since been working successfully with hundreds of senior leaders and their teams across the globe for the benefit of themselves, their people, and the customers they serve.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Coaching expertise
Aware of the criticality of good leadership in organizations, and inspired by his experiences of great personal development, Aidan chose to retrain as an Executive Coach himself so that he could enable leaders to deal with their most challenging issues by utilizing their strengths, mitigating their weaknesses, and growing their knowledge of people, teams, and powerful communication. Aidan is inspired by coaching leaders to a deeper understanding of themselves, so that they can make their strengths productive and lead others in an inspiring and effective way, a way that is authentically and uniquely their own. He is also deeply aware that when you successfully grow positive leadership in a senior leader, this has a great ripple effect, positively affecting the lives of many people, not just the coachee. For Aidan, coaching is his vocation, not his job.
